Pontone, Amalfi Coast
UNESCO World Heritage Site
Pontone, almost completely surrounded by citrus groves, faces between the two valleys of Canneto and Dragone.
It was once a privileged destination for the Amalfi nobles who appreciated the calm and relaxing atmosphere and in the Middle Ages welcomed the processing of wool.
Pontone is today known for its suggestive trekking paths: Valle delle Ferriere and Torre dello Ziro.
The first one is a nature reserve that offers a beautiful walk between nature and waterfalls, the second one offers a breathtaking view of the Amalfi Coast and the ancient watchtower.
